Pay Per Minute Rental

  • Booking Terms
    • How can I cancel a reservation? Will I be charged?
      You can cancel your reservation from the application.

      When renting a Per-Min Yaldi car you can cancel the trip and there is no fee for cancellation for the first time.

      A reservation will automatically expire if a trip is not started within 10 mins.

    • How Long Can I Book The Yaldi Car?
      You can reserve a car for 10 minutes.

      If you need more time to reach the vehicle you can start a new reservation for the next 10 minutes.

      Please note that you may be blocked from using making additional reservations on a car if you try to book it more than 2 times.

      If you do not use the reservation, it will automatically expire and the car will be available to book for anyone.

    • Can I Extend By Booking?
      Once unlocked, you have your Pay Per Minute Yaldi Car for up to 24 hours maximum until you choose to ‘end my ride’ through the app.

      Please be mindful when renting a per-min Yaldi car there will be extra charges for bookings that exceed 24hrs. Please read terms for more information.

    • Will I Be Charged For Reserving A Yaldi Car?
      No, reserving a car is free of charge.
      As per the Yaldi pricing schedule, if you take a trip with the same reservation you will not be charged for that reservation. You are allowed to reserve the car twice in a row at no cost.

    • If I book the car for a day and continue to extend it, will I be charged on daily basis?
      Pay-Per-Min Yaldi Car:

      Once unlocked, you have your Pay Per Minute Yaldi Car for up to 24 hours maximum until you choose to ‘end my trip’ through the app.

      Please be mindful when renting a per-min Yaldi car there will be extra charges for bookings that exceed 24hrs. Please read terms for more information.

    • What happens if I get a fine during my rental?
      All fines will be charged separately within 5-7 business days of your reservation, with an additional RTA/administration charge.

      Pay-per-min Fleet:

      All Fines will be charged automatically from your balance in your Yaldi Wallet or your Credit card along with RTA/admin fees through our application.

      We receive details of fines or Salik only after your trip from authorities and do not have any influence on that. You might receive a notification from us several weeks after your trip depending on when we get notified by the concerned department. This does not waive your liability.

    • Who can Use my Yaldi Account?
      Only registered Yaldi members can book and drive Yaldi cars.

      It is super simple to download and register your own account to use our service.

  • Yaldi Car Etiquette

    • Can I Take My Pet In A Yaldi Car?
      No, we are sorry you cannot carry your pet in our cars as we need to be mindful of the next user.

      Hand over of the car will remind the same as T&Cs state.
      Additional charges will be deducted as per our terms and condition if the car is not returned in good condition.

    • Can I Smoke In A Yaldi Car?
      We want everyone to have a fresh start each drive.

      Smoking is strictly prohibited in our Yaldi cars, as the scent from cigarettes, cigars, vapes, or other strong scents can impact the health and experience of other users.

      We want to keep our cleaning efficient and affective making sure cars are fully sanitized – We don’t want to use our resources in the event that we find any damage or detect any smell caused by smoking.

      Cleaning Charges will apply if we need to send our Yaldi Crew to fully sanitize the car after the use of Smoke.

    • I have lost an item or I have found an item?
      If you wish to report a lost item or have lost your item in the car please contact us:

      • All lost and found items should be collected by the owner within 7 days from the day they
      were retrieved or found.
      • To claim a lost item, you are required to provide any proof of identification for the sake of documentation and future referencing.                                                                                                 Note: We will need proof of identification to release the Item. 
      • In case you are not able to collect the item yourself, you may send us a NOC at support@yaldi.ae mentioning the name and contact details of the person who will collect the items on your behalf along with a valid proof of identification which will be presented to us at our office.
      • In case you find anything in your Yaldi car that does not belong to you and is not part of the Yaldi equipment, Keep the item in the vehicle, please contact our team on Live Chat: yaldi.ae, Call: 800-YALDI or Email: support@yaldi.ae

    • What happens if I return the Yaldi car low on fuel?
      We at Yaldi want you to pay it forward!

      You need to leave the car with at least 20% fuel, regardless of how much fuel there was when you started your trip. This means the next Yaldi user has enough fuel to start their journey.

    • What if the Yaldi car is dirty?
      In case the car is dirty inside or outside and/or unusable, please inform us through the app through our chat.

  • Yaldi Application

    • Why Is My Booking Still Active?
      If the trip did not end from the app, the booking remains active.

      The car will continue to be charged unless the booking is ended.

      To end your trip simply
      – Park in an approved area (Click here for Parking Guide) 
      – Switch off the car secure the key in the cupholder or glove box
      – End your journey on the app by pressing “END MY RIDE”

    • How do I know if a car is available?
      Use our app to locate available Yaldi Cars Instantly. Available cars will appear in the form of a location/car Icon.

      Unavailable and booked cars will not show up on the map.

    • How much time does it take to verify my account?
      We require around 2 mins – 5 mins to verify and activate your account upon receiving all valid documents.

      If in case your documents aren’t valid or incomplete, we shall communicate the same to you via your registered email/ mobile number.

    • How to update the payment method?
      It is quick and simple to update your payment method on our application:

      • Click account
      • Click on “my wallet” and press “payment methods”
      • Click the Card Icon
      • Add your debit/credit card details or use apple pay and click “save”
      • Use as the default payment method

    • What if the car is not opening through the mobile app?
      The app will give you the option to resend the command to open the car.

      • Try Refreshing the application
      • Make sure the data service and location are switched on throughout the trip.
      • Try and scan the QR code to open the car

    • I have trouble locating the car. What do I do next?
      On the rare occasion you may face issues locating the cars precise location,                                    Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

      • Please ensure that the Mobile data and Location services are enabled on your device
      • Please Restart the application
      • Please Clear the Cache on the phone.

    • How do I end my Pay-Per-Min Yaldi car?
      Just Follow these 5 easy steps : 

      1. End your trip by parking the Yaldi Car in one of the designated parking areas (Parking Guide)
      2. Select the ‘end trip’ option in the Yaldi app and return the key to the glove box or cup holder before you exit the vehicle.
      3. Once you have parked to end your trip please send your RTA parking code through our email : Support@yaldi.ae
      4. Lock the car through the app.
      5. Remember to take all your belongings.

      Before you end your trip, check the fuel gauge to make sure that there is at least 1/4 fuel in the tank for the next user. Let’s be mindful and pay it forward fo your follow Yaldi Users.

      The fuel percentage shown on the app is only for reference purposes and the user should check the fuel gauge. You can refuel for free at our partner petrol station ENOC (Dubai). If you’re running low, drive to one of our partner petrol stations and use the Yaldi fuel card to pay.

    • What do I do if I am unable to end my trip as per booking period?
      Please contact a member of our customer service team to help end your booking.

      In case your trip did not end on time, it will extend automatically, and additional rental charges will apply.

    • Why isn't my Yaldi Car starting?
      There can be multiple reasons for the vehicle not starting.

      • If it is network or a dead battery issue, please contact us so our Customer Service team and assist:

      • In case of declined payments, the vehicle will be immobilized. The customer should settle the payment and then call us or email us to unblock the vehicle.

    • Why wont my Yaldi car unlock?
      All our cars unlock within 3-5 seconds. However, there can be a delay due to network issues.

    • Who can Drive a Yaldi Car?
      To be eligible to drive our Yaldi cars, you need to meet the following criteria:

      Age   

      • To register you must be 21 years or older to apply. However, if you are below 25 years old, you will be liable for 10% of the accident cost in addition to excess charge in case of any accidents.

      Drivers License

      • To register you must hold a valid, unexpired UAE Driver’s License.
      • We also accept international driving licenses from the following countries only.

      Identity Card

      • To register you must hold a valid, unexpired, and government-issued Emirates Identity Card if you are a UAE resident
      • For Tourists, we need your Passport and Visa copy.

    • Who can use my Yaldi account?
      Only registered Yaldi members can book and drive Yaldi cars.

      It is super simple to download and register your own account to use our service.

    • Which countries driving license is accepted by Yaldi?
      Yaldi accepts driving licenses from the following countries if you do not have a driving license which was issued in the UAE.

      *If you are a UAE residency visa holder then you must have a UAE driving license in order to be eligible to become a Yaldi Customer and driving license from any other countries will not be accepted.

    • What documents do I need to register with Yaldi?
      You need to have a valid –

      If you are a UAE Resident or a Citizen  (holding a Residency visa)

      • UAE Driving license which is older than 12 months.
      • Emirates ID

      If you are a Tourist

      • Copy of your home country driving license
      • Passport Copy and/or VISA copy

    • How do you/I deactivate my Yaldi account?
      In order to deactivate your Yaldi account please send us an email to support@yaldi.ae.

      All personal and payment details will be retained for a maximum period of 30 days and automatically be deleted from our system.

  • Starting the ride

    • Can I drive to any other Emirate?
      You can drive to any Emirate while renting a Yaldi Car, as long as you start and end your reservation in Dubai.

      Cars MUST start and end their trip within the operational areas of Dubai highlighted on our
      mobile application.

    • Can I drive the car outside the UAE?
      No, unfortunately, Government regulation does not permit the use of Yaldi cars outside of the UAE.

    • What are the basic rules to follow when using Pay-Per-Min with Yaldi?
      We want to make commuting and connecting as easy as possible through all emirates of the UAE.

      Starting/Ending Journey

      • Please remember all journeys start and end in Dubai.

      Damages

      • When you book your car check the car and report all dents, damages, scratches, and cleanliness before you start your journey we want to give you every opportunity to make your experience simple. If you need to report damage before you start your trip : Email photos/report to : Support@yaldi.ae
      • After your trip, please report any damages or cleaning required. We would rather help fix the problem as soon as possible for the next user so please pay it forward. If you need to report damage after you start your trip : Email photos/report to : Support@yaldi.ae
      • All reports can be made through email so our maintenance team can be sent to check the car.
      • If reports are not sent you may need to cover this cost.

      Parking

      • Paid parking during your reservation is at your own expense.
      • You can end your trip using an A-D RTA-approved zones for pay-per-min Yaldi cars.
      • Please email your parking zone code to support@yaldi.ae once you have completed your trip.

      Please be mindful that journeys cannot end in:

      – Any underground or multi-level parking Mall
      – Private free or paid parking RTA ZONE E-J
      – Malls
      – Valet parking
      – Airport

      Refueling

      • Refueling pay-per-min Yaldi cars is easy just go to any ENOC petrol station. Each car has a VIP tag attached to make fueling easy.
      • Refueling Long Term rental cars is at your own Expense.

      Reserving Cars

      • You can reserve your car for up to 1O mins before you reach the car.

      Car Etiquette

      • Please remember to send your parking code/location to support@yaldi.ae once you have ended your trip
      • Please no smoking in your Yaldi car.
      • Please leave the car in a clean/useable condition for the next user
      • Please make sure you have at least 20% fuel in your Yaldi car for the next user.
      • Please leave the keys in the designated spot (glove box or Cupholder)
      • Drivers must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs while operating the vehicle. All insurance claims resulting from driving under the influence will be denied and you will be responsible for all resulting damage repairs as per the Yaldi Damage Rate Card.

    • What price is a Pay-Per-Min Yaldi car?

    • What is the minimum age to rent a Pay-Per-Min car?
      As per Insurance covered by Yaldi and  minimum requirements to drive a Yaldi car are:

      • The driver needs to be 25 years or above.
      • You need to have a driver’s license which is at least 12 months old in the UAE or outside the UAE and is recognized by the appropriate authorities.

    • Can I use Pay-Per-Min Yaldi car as a tourist?
      No, you cannot use pay-per minute cars. But you can use long term rentals. Join us now if you fulfill the following criteria.

      • You are 21 years old or above
      • Driving license which is at least 12 months old

      Yaldi accepts driving licenses from the following countries if you do not have a driving license that was issued in the UAE.

    • What if I forget to end my trip and return the key into the terminal?
      The application will prompt you to return the key back to the glove box or cupholder.

      Then you will be asked to “End my ride” from a mobile application to end your trip and not be charged anymore.

    • What if the refuel tag is not working?
      All of the Yaldi cars are equipped with a refuel tag to assist you with automatic payment of the fuel at any ENCO station.

      In a rare occurrence where the tag isn’t functional:  

      • Please make a payment from your end and take a picture of the receipt
      • Send it along with your booking reference to us at support@yaldi.ae
      • We shall reimburse you for the same amount.

    • What if the car is low on fuel before starting a trip?
      All you need to do is visit your nearest ENOC station and ask the staff to refuel your car.
      No payment or identification proof is required.
      *Note: This applies to pay-per-min rental only

      You can refuel the car from the following gas stations:

      Yaldi will not accept any claims for payments that a member/customer or third party does on our behalf unless instructed by Yaldi.

    • Where is the key?
      The key is in the glove box or the cup holder.

  • Parking

    • Can I use the valet parking during my journey?
      Ending your Pay-Per-min Yaldi car using a Valet service is prohibited. 

    • Where can I park my Yaldi car?
      Pay-per-min Fleet:

      Once you have ended your booking you can park your car in any Free Parking area or in RTA parking zones listed below:

      • Zones A
      • Zone B
      • Zone C
      • Zone D

      If you have ended your trip in the above RTA parking zones – 

      Please email support@yaldi.ae with the RTA parking zone code.

      Please be mindful that journeys cannot end/park in :

      • Any underground or multi-level parking Mall/gated community.
      • Any Mall
      • Valet parking
      • Airport

  • Insurance

    • Can someone else drive the car which is booked under my name?
      It is prohibited to allow someone else drive your Yaldi Car while booked/signed under your name. 

      You will be in breach of our Insurance policy.

    • Does Yaldi provide insurance?
      Yes, we do provide comprehensive insurance for our cars.

    • Insurance Policy
      Comprehensive Insurance:

      • All our vehicles are comprehensively insured –driver, passenger, and third-party liability is provided. It is your responsibility to ensure that you conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle prior to check-out and to ensure that all pre-existing damages are recorded on the vehicle check report (“VCR”).
      • Your liability will be limited to AED 2,500 plus VAT (or the amount stated in your contract) in case of an accident that is your fault, in which case a red-colored report may be provided by the police. Your liability will also be limited to AED 2,500 plus VAT if the accident is a “Hit and Run” where the third party is not identified, even if you are given a green-colored report. All insurance and damage claims will require a police report in order to be processed
      • Damage caused to our vehicle for which a third party is not identified, for which a police report has not been produced, or which results in the insurance claim being denied will be charged at cost. Repairs done by third-party garages and mechanics and not done by Yaldi will not be acceptable.
      • Note that, as is common practice in the industry in this region, tire, wheel, and rim damage is not included as part of the insurance coverage. Subject to an admin fee.

      Note – driver’s minimum age is 21. However, between ages of 21 years and 25 years, you will be liable for 10% of accident cost plus excess for at-fault claims

    • What if I have an accident?
      In the event of an accident,

      Firstly make sure you are in a safe place and call the police on 999.

      Then call us to give you step by step guide as to what to do next :

      Once the police have arrived, please secure a valid police report.                                                            Yaldi shall be able to claim insurance upon receiving the police report.

      • Depending on the report you will be covered by my Yaldi.
      • If you receive a green report/non-faulty report you will not be liable for any additional charges and all the damages will be covered by Yaldi.
      • If you receive a red report/faulty report you will be liable for additional charges.

    • What are your terms and conditions?

    • What is an excess fee and when does it apply?
      Excess fee is any additional charges you are required to pay towards a claim that needs to be raised to our insurance. This fee is payable only if an accident or damage is caused for which you receive a white or red report from the police.

    • Do you have road side assistance?
      Yes, Yaldi provides roadside assistance for the whole Yaldi fleet. Our roadside assistance team will assist customers in case of accidents, critical issues like replacing the car or towing, etc.

      We ensure RSA is provided to all our customers in need as soon as possible.

    • Do I pay any membership fees/reservation fee or deposit?
      This is the best part of using Yaldi services.

      We do not charge our members any membership fees.

      You only get to pay for what you use.
      You may top up your wallet as you wish so future journeys are taken care of.

    • Is Salik free?
      No, You (the customer) are responsible to pay for any Salik costs incurred during your reservation (Both pay-per-min & Long term rental fleet) .

      Pay-per-min Fleet:

      All Salik will be charged automatically from your Wallet in the Yaldi app or through your Credit card along with RTA/admin fees through our application.

      Charges/Payment will be made 24/48hours after your trip.

    • What if I notice a fault in my invoice or trip records?
      Just get in contact with us to dispute your invoice or trip records, or have any queries concerning any of our services.

    • Is fuel included while renting a Pay-Per-Min Yaldi Car?
      Pay-per-min Fleet:

      Fuel is free for all pay-per-minute vehicles in Dubai. All vehicles have VIP Chips. Please visit any ENCO station to Fuel your pay-per-minute Yaldi Car during your reservation.

    • Do I get compensated if I refuel the car?
      Pay-per-min Fleet:

      In any case, if your Yaldi Car VIP tag does not work, Yaldi will reimburse you for refueling by adding Yaldeets to your wallet.

      You will have to submit a copy of your bill to support@Yaldi.ae to claim the reimbursement.
      Please include the receipt and booking number in the claim.

    • How long will money remain in your Yaldi Wallet?
      There is no expiration of the credits purchased through the Yaldi wallet.

    • Can I pay for tickets/fines using credit from my Yaldi Wallet?
      If credits were purchased through the Yaldi wallet, incurred fines will be adjusted.

      However, this does not apply to promo credits.                                                                                                Fines will be charged directly on the registered card or invoiced through a payment link.

  • Booking Terms

    • How can I cancel a reservation? Will I be charged?
      Please refer to the terms of your rental period for more information.

      Cancelation Policy:

      Early Termination/ Cancellation :

      • Daily rental – No early termination allowed.

      • Weekly rental – No early termination allowed.

      • Monthly rental – One months notice required to return the vehicle.

      *If rental is returned with no prior notice full payment of the rental amount remains.

    • Can I extend my reservation?
      For Long Term rentals, of course you can extend your reservation if renting our cars for daily/weekly/monthly use.

    • Will I be charged a deposit for booking a Yaldi Car?
      Yes, reserving/booking a Long Term car is 1000AED charge.

      Once your booking agreement has ended and Yaldi car is returned we will refund you your deposit within 21 working days.

      As per the Yaldi T&C, if you have any Salik/fine remaining or your rental car was subject to damage/scratched at the end of your rental term, Yaldi will use your Deposit to settle this charge and refund you the balance within 21 working days.

    • What are your terms and conditions?

    • Who pays the Salik?
      No, You (the customer) are responsible to pay for any Salik costs incurred during your reservation (Both pay-per-min & Long term rental fleet) .

      Long Term Rental Fleet: 

      All Salik will be applied to your pending invoice or at the end of the rental agreement which ever happens first. RTA/Admin fees apply.

      Charges/Payment will be made 24/48hours after your trip.

      We receive details of fines or Salik only after your trip from authorities and do not have any influence on that. You might receive a notification from us several weeks after your trip depending on when we get notified by the concerned department. This does not waive your liability.

    • What happens if I get a fine during my rental?
      All fines will be charged separately within 5-7 business days of your reservation, with an additional RTA/administration charge.

      Long Term Rental Fleet: 

      All Fines will be applied to your pending invoice or at the end of the rental agreement which ever happens first. RTA/Admin fees apply.

      We receive details of fines or Salik only after your trip from authorities and do not have any influence on that. You might receive a notification from us several weeks after your trip depending on when we get notified by the concerned department. This does not waive your liability.

    • What is the Yaldi Mileage allowance/limit?
      Mileage depends on the type of rental.

      • Per-Minute Rentals = 200KM per ride
      • Daily Rental = 200 KM per day
      • Weekly Rental = 1750KM per week
      • Monthly Rental = 5000KM per month

      ***Additional usage will be charged at the rate of AED 0.95 per KM plus VAT

  • Yaldi Car Etiquette

    • Can I take my pet in a Yaldi Car?
      No, we are sorry you cannot carry your pet in our cars as we need to be mindful of the next user.

      Hand over of the car will remind the same as T&Cs state.
      Additional charges will be deducted as per our terms and condition if the car is not returned in good condition.

    • Can I smoke inside Yaldi?
      We want everyone to have a fresh start each drive.

      Smoking is strictly prohibited in our Yaldi cars, as the scent from cigarettes, cigars, vapes, or other strong scents can impact the health and experience of other users.

      We want to keep our cleaning efficient and affective making sure cars are fully sanitized – We don’t want to use our resources in the event that we find any damage or detect any smell caused by smoking.

      Cleaning Charges will apply if we need to send our Yaldi Crew to fully sanitize the car after the use of Smoke.

    • I have lost an item or I have found an item?
      If you wish to report a lost item or have lost your item in the car please contact us:

      • All lost and found items should be collected by the owner within 7 days from the day they
      were retrieved or found.
      • To claim a lost item, you are required to provide any proof of identification for the sake of documentation and future referencing.                                                                                                 Note: We will need proof of identification to release the Item. 
      • In case you are not able to collect the item yourself, you may send us a NOC at support@yaldi.ae mentioning the name and contact details of the person who will collect the items on your behalf along with a valid proof of identification which will be presented to us at our office.

    • What happens if I return the car low on fuel?
      We at Yaldi want you to pay it forward!

      You need to leave the car with at least 20% fuel, regardless of how much fuel there was when you started your trip. This means the next Yaldi user has enough fuel to start their journey.

    • Who can drive a Yaldi car?
      To be eligible to drive our Yaldi cars, you need to meet the following criteria:

      Age   

      • To register you must be 21 years or older to apply. However, if you are below 25 years old, you will be liable for 10% of the accident cost in addition to excess charge in case of any accidents.

      Drivers License

      • To register you must hold a valid, unexpired UAE Driver’s License.
      • We also accept international driving licenses from the following countries only.

      Identity Card

      • To register you must hold a valid, unexpired, and government-issued Emirates Identity Card if you are a UAE resident
      • For Tourists, we need your Passport and Visa copy.

    • Which countries driving license is accepted by Yaldi?
      Yaldi accepts driving licenses from the following countries for long term rentals if you do not have a driving license which was issued in the UAE.

    • Is there a minimum age to rent a Yaldi car?
      As per Insurance covered by Yaldi and  minimum requirements to drive a Yaldi car are:

      • The driver needs to be 21 years or above.
      • You need to have a driver’s license which is at least 12 months old in the UAE or outside the UAE and is recognized by the appropriate authorities.

    • Can I rent a Yaldi car as a tourist?
      Yes, for long-term rentals, you can join us now if you fulfill the following criteria.

      • You are 21 years old or above
      • Driving license which is at least 12 months old

      Yaldi accepts driving licenses from the following countries if you do not have a driving license that was issued in the UAE.

    • Why isn't my Yaldi Car starting?
      There can be multiple reasons for the vehicle not starting.

      • If it is network or a dead battery issue, please contact us so our Customer Service team and assist:

      • In case of declined payments, the vehicle will be immobilized. The customer should settle the payment and then call us or email us to unblock the vehicle.

      You are allowed to use valet parking/paid parking during the duration of your vehicle rental plan at your own expense.

      Ending your Pay-Per-min Yaldi car using a Valet service is prohibited. 

    • Where can I park my Yaldi car?
      Long Term Rental Fleet:

      No, it is prohibited to allow someone else drive your Yaldi Car while booked/signed under your name.

      It is possible to have a named driver under your long term rental terms (added fee) provided our Customer Service Agents have received and approved the name drivers documents.

      Excess fee is any additional charges you are required to pay towards a claim that needs to be raised to our insurance. This fee is payable only if an accident or damage is caused for which you receive a white or red report from the police.
